About
I study and teach at La Sorbonne-Nouvelle.
My PhD research looks at the itinerary of independent and radical journalist I.F. Stone. By focusing on the 1950s I intend to show that Stone and his colleagues and former "comrades" of the New Deal era formed what may be described as an underground network of Popular Front-like liberals.
Heir to the 1930s Old Left and political guide to the young generation of the New Left, Stone and his nonconformist "I.F Stone's Weekly" challenge the vision of the consensual 1950s.
I am currently a Visiting Scholar at NYU.
